The Post-Polio Community Mourns the Loss of Frances (Kilbourne)

Willemsen...Jan.10,1919-April 23, 2009.
Our wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and dear friend, has left us for a while. She was greeted Thursday morning by her beloved Lord and a multitude of family members and old friends, plus her 4-legged buddies, Muffy, Goldie, Peppy and old Sam. Surviving are her daughter Sandie (Jeff) and son Andrew (Barbra); granddaughters Lorie and Devan; great-grandchildren Zak, Zane and Sierra; her faithful and devoted 'Tommie'; many, many good and dear friends from First Christian Church, Akron and Ohio Post-Polio Support Groups, Stow Heritage Society and Stow Sunshiners. Mom has lead an extraordinary life...fiercely independent and determined...despite some physical challenges from Polio, she has been a leader, mentor and inspiration to her family and so many friends. We will all miss you so very much, but we will see you again someday, when you will greet us, one by one.... There are no services. Private burial will be held at Stow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron Post Polio Support Group, 1048 Austin Ave., Akron 44306 or to Alliance Visiting Nurse Assoc and Hospice, 885 South Sawburg Rd., Suite 106, Alliance, OH 44601.
