Virginia Frances Deaton, 85, of Parkersburg, passed
away September 11, 2024, at the Worthington Manor Nursing Facility in Parkersburg. She was born August 7, 1939, in Parkersburg,
a daughter of the late Shirley Delbert and Frances Anna Bell Todd.
Mrs. Deaton was a homemaker. Her children, grandchildren and extended family
was most important to her.
Surviving are her three children: Joe Deaton (Debbie) of Parkersburg, Kathy Conrad (Paul) of Parkersburg and Terry
Deaton (Shelly George) of Walker, brother Howard Todd (Vonda) of Columbus, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and seven
great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Theodore Edwin Deaton Sr., son
Darrell Deaton, infant son Jerry Deaton and brother Danny Todd.
In following Mrs. Deaton’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
Following cremation, her remains will be buried alongside her loving husband in the Middle Ridge Cemetery. A Celebration of
Life will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Deerwalk Fire Department and everyone is welcome.

Virginia used to attend the Mid-Ohio Valley Post-Polio
Support Group meetings with her husband Ted, and after his death until ill health and COVID prevented her from doing so.
